GLÔ HOUSE
Illuminated luxury outdoor sauna at dusk in a British garden

Glô House, United Kingdom

Luxury Outdoor Wellness

Crafted in Europe.
Built for wellness in your garden.

Crafted in Estonia

Wellness should not feel like a garden building or a gadget. It should feel like part of the home, and outlast it.

The Glô House standard

Made the way fine things are made

Every outdoor sauna is handcrafted in Estonia and built exclusively from Thermowood, timber modified with heat and steam alone. It is the premium material for outdoor sauna: exceptionally durable, dimensionally stable, resistant to British weather, better insulating and built to last decades rather than seasons.

We are the only UK sauna company to take care of the whole thing. We supply the sauna, lay the foundation base, arrange a Part P registered electrician where one is needed and complete the installation, one company, one point of contact, from first drawing to first fire.

Every outdoor sauna arrives as a complete package: heater, roof, premium Thermowood benches and every essential component needed for installation. No hidden extras, no unexpected costs.

It has completely changed how our family uses the garden in winter. The build quality is closer to furniture than to a garden building.

Common questions

All FAQs
Do I need planning permission for an outdoor sauna?
In most cases, outdoor saunas are considered permitted development and do not require planning permission. However, this depends on several factors, including the size and height of the sauna, where it will be positioned, whether your property is listed or located within a conservation area, and any local planning restrictions that may apply. We always recommend checking with your local planning authority before placing an order if you are unsure. Our team is also happy to provide dimensions and technical information to help with any enquiries.
What base do I need?
A sauna should always be installed on a solid, level foundation to ensure long-term performance and stability. Suitable bases include concrete slabs, reinforced concrete pads, paving slabs on a compacted sub-base, resin-bound surfaces and suitable composite decking, depending on the model. The base should be completely level and capable of supporting the full weight of the sauna. If you don't already have a suitable base, we can arrange this for you before installation, giving you one point of contact throughout the entire process.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times depend on the product and any customisations you choose. Our standard outdoor Thermowood saunas are typically delivered within 6–10 weeks. Anything we hold in stock can be sent on a next-day delivery. If you choose custom features such as panoramic windows or bespoke finishes, production times may be slightly longer as these components are manufactured to order. We'll keep you updated throughout production and provide a delivery date as soon as your sauna is ready.
Do you install, and what does it cost?
Yes. We offer professional installation throughout the UK. Our experienced installation team will assemble your outdoor sauna on site, ensuring everything is completed correctly and ready for use. Professional installation starts from £990.
